Mt Elden Middle School was put on lockdown after a student assaulted another student with a knife, police said.
FLAGSTAFF, Arizona — Mount Elden Middle School was closed Monday after a student allegedly assaulted another student with a knife, Flagstaff police said.
The student was injured and had to be treated after the assault. Another student was detained and removed from campus, police said.
Weapons were secured by staff before officers arrived on campus.
Officers continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the incident on the middle school campus.
