Lou Dutt ($$)

Santa Cruz is a long way from the Deep South, but in Capitola you can find these unique flavors at: Lou Dutt. Cajun Restaurant was previously a small space in the Abbott Square Octagon building, but has since been upgraded to a larger spot with a full dining area. My girlfriend and I ordered the catfish po boy and jambalaya from the restaurant last weekend and we were not disappointed. Top it all off by ordering a light, puffy beignet coated in powdered sugar.

Lily BerryRecently she Pizza Kitchen in Sante Adairus Rustic Ales on Water Street Praises Bookie’s Limited Edition Pizzas, is currently on the menu. Golden chanterelles – mushrooms available now, but not for very long – pizza featuring dried apricots, guanciale, onions, peppers and more will be available for another month or so. The pie is $31, but if this sounds appealing, convince a friend to join and share.

Now that it’s finally dry, cities, counties, and residents themselves have started picking up bits and pieces after weeks of barrage of stormy weather. We have taken the brunt of the damage. This is the current situation.
