Super PAC for Vivek Attempts to Attract New Yorkers to Ohio During Zohran Mamdani’s Mayoral Campaign: REPORT

Vivek Ramaswamy’s Super PAC Launches Ads in Times Square

Vivek Ramaswamy’s Super PAC is set to unveil its advertisements in Times Square on Monday, aiming to encourage New Yorkers to relocate to Ohio.

The initiative is backed by the “Vivek Super PAC – VPAC,” which endorses Ramaswamy’s campaign as a Republican in Ohio. The advertisements depict Zoran Mamdani, the recent Democratic primary winner for New York City mayor, as a staunch socialist and present a call to action for folks feeling uneasy about their current situation, suggesting it’s time to “move to Ohio.”

One of the messages in the advertisement reads, “Are you worried about Zohran? Ohio is waiting for you.”

According to a 2022 report from the U.S. Census Bureau, Ohio ranked as the 20th most popular destination for those leaving New York, with 8,431 people making the move.

Andys Lavian, a strategist for VPAC, expressed that residents in New York should consider relocating to Ohio. He commented on Mamdani’s approach, saying, “Mamdani crushes New York City even further with the work-killing socialist tyranny, but Vivek is ready to unleash freedom, recharge America’s dreams, and put Ohio in a state of excellence.” He added that they chose this ad campaign to highlight the starkly different political paths available for the future of the country.

The advertising campaign reportedly costs around $50,000 and will run for a week.

As of July 9, Mamdani’s approval rating stands at approximately 35% among voters, with Andrew Cuomo at 25%, based on a recent opinion poll.

Lavian wrapped up his remarks by stating, “In Ohio, there’s enough freedom and prosperity for the New Yorkers waiting for you.”
