Support the Sedona Heritage Museum and Find Unique Holiday Gifts by Shopping on Museum Store

sedona news – On Sunday, December 1, 2024, the Sedona Heritage Museum is pleased to participate in Museum Store Sunday, an annual holiday shopping day supporting cultural institutions and their stores. This year, more than 2,100 Museum Stores representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia, 24 countries and five continents will celebrate Museum Store Sunday. And we offer unique gifts for the holiday season. Every purchase supports its parent institution and the artisans and craftspeople who create the many gifts found in the museum’s store.

The Sedona Heritage Museum is offering 10% off all Museum Store purchases on Museum Store Sundays.

“Museum Store Sunday is a wonderful annual tradition that supports the cultural institutions in our backyard,” said Nate Myers, executive director of the Sedona Historical Society and Sedona Heritage Museum. “Shoppers can shop for great deals on items made by local crafters and artisans and find unique gifts for the upcoming holiday season, all while supporting the Sedona Heritage Museum and our educational mission. You can.”

Kate Schulman, president of the Board of Directors of the Museum Store Association and chief operating officer and vice president of administration at the Peoria Riverfront Museum in Peoria, Illinois, said she would Learn how shopping strengthens communities and their economic well-being.

“Purchasing locally made gifts at the museum’s concession stand circulates money within the community of shoppers,” Schuleman said. “As a result, nearby artists, businesses, and museums have more funding to reinvest in their communities and foster local economic growth.”

Shoppers can “become a Patron” and look forward to Museum Store Sunday, a global annual day of support for Museum Stores and their missions around the world. Museum Store Sunday only happens once a year, but everyone is encouraged to “become a patron” of the museum and the Museum Store all year round.
