Suspect Arrested Three Days After Standoff In Kaibab Estates West Near Ash Fork – KAFF News – Flagstaff

A suspect was arrested three days after a standoff in the Quarry Road area west of Kaibab Estates north of Ash Fork. Officers arrived on the scene Monday after receiving a 911 call. Upon arrival, it was discovered that the two were being held against their will at the mansion. The male suspect, Nicolas Barrone, was grumpy and uncooperative, and the victim refused to speak to authorities. Ultimately, the two victims were safely evacuated, and a firearm was found in the residence. The suspect refused custody and the police retreated to a location away from the house as there was no one else in the house. A search warrant was obtained the next morning, revealing that the suspect had committed several felonies in the past few weeks. When police arrived on the scene, the suspect again refused to respond and was taken into custody after four and a half hours of effort. The suspect was injured during his arrest and was admitted to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment. Hours later, the suspect was placed in the Coconino County Jail on two counts of wrongful imprisonment, two counts of disorderly conduct with a weapon, resisting arrest and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
