Collision on Route 95 leaves 1 driver dead and 1 injured

Lake Havasu City, Arizona (February 22, 2024) – A driver was killed in a head-on collision on North McCulloch Boulevard Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred at the intersection of South Acoma Boulevard and Demaret Drive just after 1 p.m.

Authorities then spotted a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro traveling at a high rate of speed.

Additionally, the Camaro was unable to stop the officers, and the officers called off the pursuit. Authorities later spotted the Camaro again near Sweetwater Avenue and South McCulloch Boulevard.

Additionally, the Camaro committed multiple traffic violations, and authorities continued to pursue the suspect as it headed south on I-95.

As a result, the Camaro entered the highway and collided head-on with a northbound recreational vehicle at the intersection of North McCulloch Boulevard and State Route 95.

Unfortunately, the driver of the Camaro sustained life-threatening injuries and later died. His identity has not yet been released by authorities.

Meanwhile, one passenger in the RV suffered minor injuries and was taken to Havasu Regional Medical Center. Further investigation is currently underway.
