Suspect is arrested in Arizona after truck crash kills two cyclists, injures 11

Goodyear Police Department in Arizona announced A suspect who drove a pickup truck into a group of cyclists, killing two and injuring 11, has been arrested. The suspect, his 26-year-old Pedro Quintana-Lujan, has been accused of ramming his truck into a “large cycling group” and faces several charges. Including two counts of manslaughter.

The incident occurred around 8 a.m. Saturday in Goodyear, Arizona, a suburb of more than 95,000 people. The crash occurred on the Cotton Lane Bridge, which crosses the Gila River.goodyear police station murmured The deceased was one male and one female. “Sadly, two cyclists died, one remains in a life-threatening condition. One of the deceased was a Goodyear local and the other was visiting from out of state. ” Eleven people were also injured in the accident.

Quintana Lujan also faces three counts of aggravated assault, 18 counts of endangered conduct and two counts of serious injury or death during a moving violation, according to ABC News. He is in jail and has a hearing scheduled for Friday.
