PHOENIX — A portion of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office headquarters in downtown Phoenix was temporarily closed Monday after a suspicious package was found outside the building.
12. Local reporters photographed a light blue backpack left on the north sidewalk at 550 West Jackson Street in Phoenix. The area has become a pedestrian paradise, and several members of Congress have been seen nearby.
Fortunately, MCSO discovered it was just an abandoned backpack and nothing more dangerous and defused everything around 9:40 a.m.
