SYDCOL Waste Management offers on-site open houses

YUMA, AZ (KYMA, KECY) – SYDCOL Waste Management, a hazardous waste facility, welcomes a community open house.

SYDCOL is seeking a special use permit to expand its services and has asked the Yuma County Board of Supervisors to postpone the Aug. 7 vote for 90 days.

Many have expressed concerns following the approval of a special use permit from the Yuma County Planning and Zoning Commission.

SYDCOL said the 90-day delay would give the company enough time to hold a series of open houses at its facilities if the board of supervisors approves it.

If these open houses are held, they will be held from 9am to 11am the following Saturday.

  • August 26th
  • September 16th
  • October 7

Snacks and donuts will be provided for attendees.
