Taylor Swift Announces Release Of New Album While On The Grammy Stage

Taylor Swift announced the release of her new album while accepting an award on stage at the Grammy Awards on Sunday.

Swift surprised her fans by walking across the Grammy stage to accept her 13th Grammy Award for Best Pop Album for her album Midnight. In true Swift style, she effortlessly commanded the spotlight with bombshell statements while clutching her newly won award.

“I would like to thank my fans by telling you a secret that I have been keeping from you for the past two years… My new album will be released on April 19th.” Swift said.

When she announced the big news live, the crowd roared with excitement.

Swift continued to announce big news.

“It's called the 'Tortured Poets Department.' I'm going backstage now to put up the covers. Thank you, I love you!” she said.

And with it, she broke the internet.

The famous singer was true to her word and soon after, the new album cover was posted on her Instagram account.

The sultry album cover was the first of two images in the gallery. A second photo showed the handwritten lyrics she used to preview her upcoming release.
