USA continues to lead the basketball world!
Next Five consecutive gold medals At the Olympics, the U.S. men's basketball team still FIBA World Rankings 1st place.
While there hasn't been a huge change at the top of the order, there's been a lot going on across the rankings in terms of positional fluctuations: After winning medals in Paris, Serbia and France have both moved up the rankings, and Canada has cracked the top five. Among the nations that have fallen down the rankings is Australia, the most notable of which has dropped after a disastrous performance in the tournament, followed by Spain, who failed to progress to the knockout stages after a disastrous group stage.

Okay, I know this isn't the most shocking thing in the world, but still, as an American, I can't help but feel proud that we are still on the ascendant. I'm not gonna lie, the U.S. national football (yes, American football) team is Some terrible defeatsI started to worry about playing in the Olympics.
But that's not the case: we still reign supreme in basketball and in sports as a whole.
