Ted Cruz Says Zelenskyy Needs To ‘Recalibrate His Approach’ As Anti-Trump Campaign Isn’t Doing Him Any Favors

Republican Texas Sen. Ted Cruz said on Wednesday that Ukrainian President Voldy Zelensky should “realign” his approach to President Donald Trump.

Trump spoke with both Zelensky and Russian President Putin to end the war, but Zelensky criticized Trump and Trump. I said Without Ukraine’s involvement, no peace agreement would occur. While appearing in “Kudlow” Cruz I said Zelensky’s criticism of Trump is counterproductive.

“I don’t think President Zelensky is doing anything to himself by running to the European media and attacking President Trump,” Cruz told Larry Kudrow. “You and I know President Trump very well. It’s a strategy that was almost designed in the lab to produce the opposition of the outcome he’s trying to get. And he probably has his approach I think we need to re-adjust the

Cruz also denounced former President Joe Biden for escalating the Ukraine conflict.

“The war in Ukraine was caused by Joe Biden’s weakness, his weakness as the best commander. This was in the gas pipeline of Node Stream 2, which ranged from Russia to Germany. It was caused by waking sanctions,” Cruz said. “You know, I wrote those sanctions and Putin stopped building the Nodstream 2 pipeline. Biden caused the war, but Trump’s campaign is about to end the war. I said that.”

Cruz said he was sure the war between the two countries would soon end.

“We’ll see the end of this war, and I think it’ll end in the first half of this year. I think the president is trying to negotiate that resolution. My hope is that it will end the war. It is a resolution, which is a clear and uncontroversial loss for Putin, and a loss for Russia,” Cruz added. “That’s the outcome I want to see. I think that’s a good outcome for America.” (Related: Trump says negotiations are underway to end the Ukrainian war)

During the campaign, Trump said he would foster global peace and criticised foreign conflicts that escalated under the Biden-Harris administration. Zelenskyy expressed his willingness to negotiate with the US and discussed a potential agreement for Ukraine to supply rare earths and other minerals to the US in exchange for sustainable financial support.
