A 19-year-old man was sentenced in June to 26 years in prison for assaulting, raping and murdering a woman in the middle of the day in Milwaukee’s Washington Park in 2020 and could be released before he turns 30.
Kamale Lewis, 19, and Kevin Spencer, 17, pleaded guilty to reckless murder and sexual assault in the spring of 2022. according to CBS58. “It wasn’t enough to rape her. We had to beat her to the brim and leave her to die at the same time. What could be worse?” The newspaper said Li suffered a broken bone, multiple internal injuries from the sexual assault and a cerebral hemorrhage.
