PHOENIX — A teenager accused of shooting students and officers at Tempe on the campus of Arizona State University in December has been charged, officials said.
Reid Ralph Chee, 17, faces charges including aggravated assault, endangerment, disorderly conduct and illegally firing a firearm, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office said in a press release.
The shooting took place at approximately 1:30 am on December 1 near Bullet Honors College near Apache Boulevard and a country road.
Less than five minutes after police were dispatched to the scene, officers reported the shooting.
Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said, “The victim of this incident feared for his life while simply walking around the ASU campus.
“Using a gun to intimidate or harm anyone in this community is a serious offense and those accused of doing so will be held accountable.”
