Four teenagers were arrested last week in connection with the drive-by shooting that killed a 14-year-old girl in Coolidge, according to the Coolidge Police Department.
Teenager Miyka Crawford was murdered after her home was targeted in a drive-by shooting on January 19.
Four suspects were arrested Tuesday — one man and three other minors. Derek Manuel, 19, was arrested in Gilbert along with a 17-year-old boy. A 14-year-old girl was arrested at her parents’ home in Casa Grande and a 15-year-old boy was arrested in Scottsdale.
Police said the four suspects broke into Miyka’s neighborhood after midnight on Thursday and fired more than 10 bullets into Miyka’s home. One of the bullets hit the girl in the head.
Meeka was immediately taken to Florence Ansem Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead, police said.
In an update last week, police said the car used in the drive-by shooting was found by Gilbert detectives on Friday.
Manuel was held in the Pinal County Jail as the sole suspect over the age of 18. His three other teenagers involved were held at the Pinal County Juvenile Detention Facility, police said.
Authorities have requested that all four suspects be charged with first-degree murder, drive-by shooting, and multiple counts of aggravated assault.
