Tekashi 6ix9ine is grateful to be alive after being assaulted at a gym in Florida.
The 26-year-old rapper broke his silence about the incident last month and “addressed the situation for the first time” by uploading a video of the assault to Instagram.
Tekashi, who was released early from federal prison in 2020 after admitting to participating in gang activity and being a prosecutor’s witness, captioned the post: I’ll advertise it, but now you can see that I really haven’t hid from anything.
“Anyway, what happened here was just cowardly. I’m not angry that this happened. There are no rules on the street so I can’t say it was wrong. Obviously it wasn’t fair. ,there are no rules in the street.Imagine”I have nothing to do with the situation and feel obligated to make it your business. (very weird) I’m still here I’m happy to hear that. And I want to say that I love my fans. Thank you (sic).
Three men were arrested earlier this week on suspicion of attacking the rapper, whose real name is Danielle Hernandez, in a fitness sauna in Los Angeles.
A spokesperson for the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office confirmed to TMZ that Rafael Medina Jr., Octavius Medina and Anthony Maldonado were taken into custody on Thursday (30.03.23).
The trio were booked and sent to county jail on charges of assaulting a musician and robbery.
It’s unclear if the suspect has any connection to the gang members that the heavily tattooed Tekashi previously gave evidence of.
The “Trolls” hitmaker is being treated in a non-life threatening hospital, and video footage circulating online shows the rapper trying to hide his face.
The video was initially shared on social media and partially captioned “F*** a rat.”
