Cool temperatures were expected in Phoenix, but showers of rain and snow were expected to fall in Flagstaff over Easter weekend. Temperatures are scheduled to drop on Thursday, April 17th.
Gabriel Rogero, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Phoenix, said temperatures are expected to be 5-8 degrees cooler than weekend averages.
From Thursday, April 17th, the weather in the Phoenix Metro area was expected to be about four degrees colder than average, but the 81 high was predicted to fall again on Friday, April 18th and Saturday, April 19th, starting from the mid-70s to the 70s above. On Easter Sunday, April 20th, temps were predicted to be about 6-8 degrees cooler than average at mid-’80s highs.
The weather was expected to be clear southwest between 5pm and 10 miles. Temperatures were predicted to drop in the late 50s in the evening.

The weather on Saturday, April 19th will be similar on Friday, with high temperatures projected at around 78 degrees Celsius, with a sunny skies and a westerly wind blowing at 5 mph. The low expected on Saturday was around 56 degrees, with mainly cloudy skies, with 5 mph winds calming and a 20% shower potential in the evening.
Easter Sunday, April 20th, was expected to be the hottest weekend day, with high temperatures nearly 85 degrees, sunny skies and winds expected to blow east at 5 mph. The low value is about 60 degrees, with mostly clear skies and gentle breezes in the evening.

Jacob Lewandowski, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Flagstaff, said the showers are likely to occur in the morning and early afternoon on Saturday, April 19th, and should decrease by 2pm before 2pm on Saturday, with most sunny skies close by, blowing north between 8-11mm and 20% of the time.
On Saturday evening, the sky is expected to be nearly transparent, with winds of around 21 degrees moving west.
Easter Sunday, April 20th, was expected to be sunny with a high temperature of nearly 62 degrees. The low temperatures in Flagstaff were about 28 degrees, with mostly clear skies in the evening, with winds moving southwest between 5 and 8 mph.
