Tennessee Titans Fire Head Coach Mike Vrabel, Who Will Likely Be Snagged By Another Team Right Away

The Tennessee Titans reportedly fired head coach Mike Vrabel on Tuesday.

Vrabel was fired after six seasons with the Titans and will likely have no trouble finding another job. ESPN report. “Earlier today I spoke with Mike Vrabel and discussed the decision to change head coaches. As I told Coach Vrabel, this decision was as difficult as any decision I have made as controlling owner. ” Titans owner Amy Adams Slank said in a statement.

However, over the past two seasons, the team has not been able to achieve much. The team has now finished many games under .500 for the second consecutive season, contributing to ESPN's description of the team as having “experienced back-to-back frustrating seasons.”

Titans star running back Derrick Henry, who is set to become a free agent in March, according to ESPN, told The Athletic that he was certainly surprised by the fact that Vrabel was fired.

“Wow. Wow. I was surprised. Coach Vrabel is a leader for the boys. He's a great coach and teacher. I know he'll get another chance soon. I'm looking forward to it.” Henry said.
