The Texas park is 97 acres, much smaller than Universal Studios in Orlando or Los Angeles.
Universal Studios’ plan to open a theme park in Texas has received mixed reactions on social media.
On Wednesday, Universal announced plans for a 97-acre theme park in the Dallas suburb of Frisco. Mark Woodbury, head of the entertainment giant’s parks division, said at a press conference that attractions will include “four or five themed lands” and a 300-room on-site hotel. MySA Report.
The park will be smaller than Universal Studios in Orlando and Los Angeles, but officials say it will “maintain the same quality as Universal’s other big resorts.”
Some Texas residents expressed excitement online at the prospect of yet another entertainment complex coming to the state.
Dallas is also overcrowded, Universal Studios has significantly increased traffic north, and Frisco is already congested.
