Peter Navarro, a former trade adviser to former President Donald Trump, told Republicans on Friday to stop attacking Vice President Kamala Harris' sexual history and her humor.

Navarro was particularly critical of Republican Senator Ted Cruz of Texas. Take aim Speaking on the “War Room” podcast, Navarro said the derogatory remarks hurt Republican women voters. “Ted Cruz, if you call Kamala a slut and make fun of her laugh, does that satisfy women? No,” Navarro said. “Shut up. That doesn't solve anything. Women are infuriated when they hear that kind of crap, and they're especially infuriated when an old white man does that kind of crap. Shut up.”

“That would disappoint the voters we need to win the election, especially women. Why not point out that Kamala Harris is responsible for all of the bad policies that Biden implemented with her help?” Navarro asked on the show.

Trump and his campaign mocked Harris' laughter. call Her “Laughin' Kamala.”

Louisiana Republican Sen. John Kennedy also received backlash from Fox News host Neil Cavuto for his harsh critique of Harris.

“A lot of Americans think the vice president is a bit of a goofball,” Kennedy said. “They think she's not serious.”
