A New Jersey lawmaker on Thursday slammed White House press secretary John Kirby after hearing Kirby’s response to a question about swarms of drones seen over the Garden State for weeks.
Video footage obtained by The Daily Caller shows drones have been appearing over New Jersey in recent weeks, sometimes flying in formation. “America Report” co-host John Roberts responded to a White House press conference in which he claimed that Kirby’s sighting was of a “legally operated manned aircraft” in New Jersey. asked the state’s Republican state representative, Brian Bergen. “That guy is an idiot. I can tell you this now because a state police colonel told state lawmakers that one of his helicopters was hovering over a 6-foot-wide drone, putting the pilot at risk. Because he said he landed that helicopter because he felt it,” Bergen said. “I’m a former Apache helicopter pilot and a member of the New Jersey State Legislature, and I’ve seen these things in my community. This guy whose name I don’t know was here just a few minutes ago. , you’re a fool if you say there’s no problem.”

“Well, he’s a former rear admiral in the United States Navy named John Kirby, and he’s a helicopter pilot competing against that admiral.” “Here you go,” Roberts responded, and Bergen replied, “Go to the Army, beat the Navy.” That’s what I would say on this point.”
Roberts likened the drone to the reconnaissance balloon flight that crossed over the United States in February 2023, but the Chinese side claimed that a civilian weather research platform went off course. The balloon was shot down off the coast of South Carolina on February 4, 2023.
“We need people to take action. Someone said on the show before I got here that it’s impossible for state police to track hundreds of drones. Hundreds of people. You don’t have to track thousands of people; you just have to track one to find out who is responsible for one of these things,” Bergen told Roberts. Ta. “Let me tell you, this is a big problem. I hope that at the end of the day it turns out it was nothing, that it was a commercial application being tested, but this is nothing. But right now, senators, Congressional officials, U.S. senators are all demanding action, and people aren’t making enough changes.”
“Earlier, the same gentleman you mentioned earlier said we are being resourced and the state is being resourced with this technology,” Bergen continued. “During the briefing we attended, the state police said they were going to be bringing in some new technology from the Department of Homeland Security to track these drones, and obviously to make it easier to and said the drone was supposed to determine what the “track” was. One of my colleagues said, this was yesterday, when will it arrive? They said within 2 days. Is it 2 days? We need it now. ”
