The portion of this trailer you’re about to see was actually distributed as a separate trailer back in September. Later, after the Oilers’ blowout loss in Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Florida Panthers, McDavid was shown becoming highly emotional and berating his teammates. 2-0 series loss.
A longer version of this rant was released in a new trailer Thursday, but hey, McDavid went on a rant and even labeled a teammate “not as good as shit.”

I’m a Florida Panthers fan and I absolutely love Connor McDavid in this moment, but my biggest takeaway is this goober who tried to keep McDavid off camera.
I’m sitting there…hey, you already had the camera capture 30 seconds of McDavid ranting before blocking the view, and the camera was still picking up the audio. What was the point?
The golden content was almost destroyed, but luckily this kid isn’t the best at what he does.
