Barefoot trailthe country’s first ground park is reopening its second season at Flagstaff with exciting new products designed to enhance the visitor’s experience.

Known for its unique approach to bare-funny recreation, barefoot trails invite individuals and families to separate themselves from technology and reconnect with nature, experiencing the scientifically favored benefits of grounding, according to a press release.

“We live in a world that is overwhelmingly digital and is taking a toll on our health,” said Leah Williams, founder of Barefoot Trail. “The barefoot trail is here to remind us that nature is a powerful medicine. It can simply be spent time outside, connect with the planet and have a big impact on our well-being.”

Currently, children spend an average of 7.5 hours a day in front of screens, making physical activity and outdoor involvement the lowest ever. Meanwhile, the rates of childhood obesity, anxiety and depression continue to rise. Barefoot trails provide much-needed solutions by encouraging movement, mindfulness and connection to nature.

“This season we have expanded our products to provide even more opportunities for adventure, relaxation and education.

What’s new for 2025?

Walking barefoot neutralizes the effects of positive ions absorbed from electronics, reducing stress, improving sleep, and even reducing chronic pain. Research has shown that grounding helps regulate the nervous system, reduce inflammation and increase cardiovascular health.

Barefoot trails aren’t just places to walk. This is an interactive experience rooted in six core values.

  • Steam Booklets: These educational booklets show participants grounding and reflexology. With reflective art pages and detailed foot reflexology maps, contact us directly for the price.
  • Expanded Play Area – A new swing set has been installed to promote free play and movement.
  • Trail Refresh & Revamp – Reinforced surfaces and reinforced reflexology stations offer even greater health benefits.
  • Flexible Ticket Options – Visitors can now purchase individual or season passes, as well as gift cards.
  • Streamlined Online Booking – Adult tickets booked online are $14, children’s tickets are $12, and children under the age of 2 can get free. Same-day walk-up tickets are $15. A special $10 pricing is available for groups over 10.
