Sen. John Kennedy, Republican of Louisiana, sarcastically said on a Fox News appearance Saturday night that a polygraph machine could explode if Vice President Kamala Harris simply walked near it.
Harris has escalated her attacks on former President Donald Trump, most recently labeling him a “fascist” during a CNN town hall on Wednesday. In a conversation with Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade, Kennedy said Harris is lagging behind Trump because Americans are “uncertain” about what she would do if elected president. said. President Kennedy told Kilmeade: “It’s worth considering why Vice President Harris is currently retreating.” “I think she’s lagging behind because of her flippant rhetoric. People have misgivings about her. They wonder if she has what it takes to be president. I don’t know. They’re worried that she wasn’t. They’re worried that she was an elementary school kid who was eating paste, but they just don’t know. She’s not — she won’t be held, and in some cases I think she’s lying. People are worried that if she walks in front of a polygraph machine, that damn thing will explode. I am.”
“People want to know what the president is going to do,” Kennedy continued. “Now, let me tell you something else that has changed in this race other than the Vice President being behind us. Vice President Harris has adopted a new strategy. Joy is out. She voted for President Trump. We adopted Hillary Clinton’s deplorable 2016 strategy of saying, “If you do, you’re a bad person.”

The respondents answered that they felt that there was. Trump has accused Harris of lying about working at McDonald’s when she was a teenager, but Harris’ campaign has yet to produce evidence to suggest she did so. Harris has also reportedly stepped back from the left-leaning positions she held during her campaign for the 2020 Democratic presidential nomination, primarily through statements by campaign aides to reporters.
