The World Series is here, folks!
Yes, this could be an incredibly boring matchup on paper. Arizona Diamondbacks (84-78) and Texas Rangers (90-72)but this is still a fall classic, and despite the lack of marketability, there’s some sexiness here in the way both teams beat powerhouse nations to get here.
The Diamondbacks not only defeated the 100-win powerhouse Los Angeles Dodgers, they dominated there, pulling off a truly historic upset. Meanwhile, the Rangers had to get past the defending champion Houston Astros (also their in-state rival in the American League West) in a close game. ALCS 7-game absolute thriller. Well, here we are, both are Cinderella stories with big wins.
At first glance, it looks like a nearly even series, but who will they take to win the Commissioner’s Trophy?

The Rangers are favorite The Diamondbacks come in because they are a less talented team, but Arizona’s defense has shown throughout the postseason that they can’t sleep on them. And it’s important that the Texans don’t make that mistake just like the Dodgers did.
The biggest thing the Rangers need to focus on to be successful is getting an early lead. You don’t want to play a slow inning against an Arizona bullpen that’s absolutely in top shape right now — you don’t want to face the Texas bullpen when you’re making plays and decisive moves in what’s going to be a stressful, close game in a big game. If you are a person, it is best to avoid getting into such situations.do do not have Let the D-backs hang around, that’s what matters.
Will the Rangers put it off? (Related: Jaguars or Steelers? Browns or Seahawks? Bengals or 49ers? Andrew Powell selected in Week 8 NFL)
Hmm…yes…yes…I’m not going to lie, I’m a little hesitant. But ultimately I think they will achieve what I suggested in at least four games. That’s clearly enough to get the job done. They are the better team, with more firepower on offense and two studs who are doing a great job of fueling their way into the rotation.
That being said, give the Rangers a shot, but it’s going to be a total dogfight.
