The Goo Goo Dolls Releases Video From Hospital Announcing Rescheduling Of Tour Dates

Goo Goo Dolls announced the postponement of their South African tour dates on Tuesday in an emotional video shot from frontman John Rzeznik’s hospital bed.

The famous rock star sat up in a hospital bed wearing a baseball cap and hospital gown to apologize to fans and reveal details about his unexpected illness.

In a video he shared on Instagram, he said, “I’m really disappointed that I couldn’t be there.” “I have pneumonia and have been tested and admitted to the hospital, but I am stuck here for a day or two. We are working to get back on the field as soon as possible and will keep you posted on that. I will.”

The tour dates have been rescheduled to March 2025 to allow Rzeznik to fully recover from his illness.

The 58-year-old famous singer apologized and assured fans that he was fully willing to return to the stage.

“I’m really sorry that we couldn’t do that. I’m sorry that this happened,” he said in a video from his hospital room.

“We will make it up to you guys. Thank you for your patience.”

“We are heartbroken to have to postpone our show in South Africa. This country is very important to us and we were so excited to make more memories with you guys,” the Goo Goo Dolls wrote on social media. he wrote in the caption of the media post.

“Unfortunately, doctors recommended rest and recovery,” the caption continued.

“Thank you for your understanding. It will be worth the wait when we return in March 2025.”

Fans quickly took to the comments section of the band’s Instagram page to let Rzeznik understand the sudden change in plans and wish him a full and speedy recovery.
