Maybe they're still celebrating the national football championship?
The Michigan Wolverines hosted the Illinois Fighting Illini in a college basketball contest Thursday night, but Wolverines fans seemed to have no interest in showing up to cheer on their team.
I'm currently sitting with someone in the midst of an absolutely terrifying season. Lost record of 7 wins and 11 losses The Wolverines finished 14th in the Big Ten (last place, by the way) and are quickly becoming one of the worst teams in America. So you can't blame the Michigan faithful for not wanting to see this one. That's exactly what they didn't do Thursday – the Wolverines took a hit, even though Illinois is the No. 14 team in the nation. 88-73.
But still, with Michigan State being such an iconic program as they are, there is absolutely no excuse for this atrocity.
