Donna Marie Burgess Stahel was the most loving, joyful, selfless wife, mother, Nana, and great Nana who died after a valiant battle with cancer.

Born on July 19, 1955 in Phoenix, Arizona, Donna was the daughter of Gene Autry Burgess and Jenny Whitney Burgess. She was devoted to her family, deceased by her father and her brother Donald R. Burgess, but left to cherish her eternal memory, her husband Ervin D. Stahel. increase. her son, Jimmy Satterfield (Saisha); her daughter, Jeannie Jones (Chad); her daughters-in-law, Michelle Stabelen (Jamie), Shannon Schwartz (Garrett) and Stephanie Stahel. her brother, John Burgess; Grandchildren, Skyler (Corey), Alexis, Ethan, Cody, Delaney, Nicholas, Keely, Graham, Lauren, Tyler, Danny, Lily, and Elijah. She struggled to see her great-grandson Kylen Devon Tripp come into the world.

Donna was a man of many talents. She worked as a bank teller, library assistant in the Camden County School System, COA Small She worked as a business center computer . Donna worked for many years at her Circle II restaurant and with her husband she was co-owner and manager of Pelican Marina. She was now the owner and manager of Kin Folk Ax in downtown Elizabeth City.

Donna loved making stained glass and other home crafts and was very talented. Recently, her handmade card. She has excelled at being a very supportive wife and her mother over the years, Donna will be sorely missed.

She also leaves Georgia’s beloved Krystal, Bailey, and Brooklyn behind to cherish the memories.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at the Twyford Memorial Chapel and will be officiated by Reverend Scott Taylor. Burial will take place at West Lawn Cemetery. Donna requested eco-friendly balloons instead of flowers. Her mother said, “I want a balloon. If I don’t go to heaven, I can grab one for a free ride,” she said. Mom, don’t worry.
