Say what you want about Taylor Swift, but she's making a ton of money in the NFL – I can't even hate her.
Regardless of the team playing or the location, Super Bowl ad space costs a lot of money, which is why we see networks working so hard to broadcast the big game. And luckily for CBS, there's a lot more interest this year than usual thanks to pop superstar Taylor Swift.
Whether you like this Swift-ism or not, she brings a lot of attention and, more importantly, money in the direction of the NFL. And even if the league doesn't need to be a powerhouse, would you still turn down unpaid attention to get paid? Yeah, neither do I.
Take, for example, a recent announcement from CBS. out kick. They quickly sold out of their commercial inventory, selling out 10 days before the Super Bowl. These are broadcast on main broadcast and Nickelodeon respectively.
CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus said on a current media call that CBS and Nickelodeon's Super Bowl ad inventory is sold out. “Today, we are pleased to report that the Side-by-Side game on CBS and Nickelodeon is officially sold out.”

And judging by the types of companies buying advertising space, it's clear that Pop Queen has something to do with it.
It's called the Taylor Swift effect.
