We're all familiar with the legendary town of Tombstone, a tough town to die for. Movies and TV shows have put this little place on the map. But compared to these Arizona towns, Tombstone seems like a pretty mundane moniker. How did these places get such strange names?

First stop: nothing
I went there recently Nothing, Arizona. On my way to Las Vegas. This is not an exaggeration. There is literally nothing in nothingness. All that remains are the old bones of a defunct gas station. It's like a dusty roadside stop where you can pay a nickel to see a two-headed snake, get gas, then take your car out on the road and forget about it all.

You won't find anything along Highway 93 in Mohave County. He closed the town's gas station, convenience store, and pizza joint around 2011.
Today, Nothing is little more than a ghost town, with signs reading: “Town of Nothing, Arizona. Founded in 1977. Elevated 3,269 feet. The faithful residents of Nothing are full of hope, faith, and believe in a work ethic. – Over the years, these dedicated people have I didn't believe in anything, I didn't expect anything, I worked for nothing.”

Third stop: Take it easy.
This town looks like a good place to live. easy going Maricopa County has just over 3,600 residents. Carefree was founded as a master-planned community in the 1950s.
The town of Carefree's motto is “Home of Cowboys and Caviar, Where the Old West meets the New.”

Final stop: Show Low
Compared to some of the other towns on this list, show low value, the population is rapidly increasing – about 10,000 people. The legend behind the name is one that most kids in Arizona schools know, but if this is news to you, keep reading.
It all started with a poker game. Sometime in the 1870s, two men came up with the name: Corydon Cooley and marion clarke They lived on a large ranch in the area.

He drew a card and showed the lowest possible card, a deuce of clubs. Clark thought he had beaten him, but when he drew a card, it was the Ace of Spades. Cooley yelled, “Show me low!” And that is the origin of the name of this town.
