I was excited to attend the recent groundbreaking ceremony for the Wiregrass Innovation Center in downtown Dothan, which will be a home for visionaries shaping the future of Wiregrass and the world.

Founded against the backdrop of the George Washington Carver Research Campus, the Wiregrass Innovation Center will be a haven for entrepreneurs, a laboratory for agricultural technology (AgTech) innovation, and a catalyst for change.”

Research and education also thrive at the Wiregrass Innovation Center. HudsonAlpha research and education leaders will continue to use genomics to develop drought- and disease-resistant peanut plants through the Wiregrass Peanut Project.
