Jamal Simmons on CNN's “Debate Night in America” reflected In a past interview, Walz said it was “obvious” who he was “fighting for,” but voters are now wondering which party truly represents them. He pointed out that
“I think that's one of the things people want to know in a debate like this: Who are they fighting for? Democrats are fighting for homeowners and getting them their first home.” We often talk about helping people get $25,000 for their projects. [for] These are first-time home buyers,” Simmons said. “They talk about seniors and making sure they have access to affordable prescription drugs. Republicans talk about Donald Trump, right?”

The Republicans are trying to keep Donald Trump out of prison because he's been indicted and convicted multiple times,” Simmons said. he added. “Republicans are trying to make sure Donald Trump doesn't embarrass himself because he's going to lose the next election…So Republicans are talking about Trump and Democrats are talking about Americans. It's about the future. And that's what Democrats really want.”
In response, Singleton said there was a “perfect opportunity” to highlight to Vance voters' concerns about the economy, inflation and the border.
“Let's say I'm taking the premise that Democrats are talking about the best interests of the American people. Then, Wolf, I think Sen. Vance has a great opportunity tonight to say the world is on fire. . So if we're talking about the future of securing America's interests and the interests of your children and grandchildren,” Singleton responded.

Do you want a more secure country in terms of borders?” Singleton asked. “Do you want a more stable and economically secure future in terms of cost of living? I think the Republican Party has a case and an argument to make. Polls show that the American people are with Harris on these issues. It suggests he trusts Trump and Vance more than Walz.
Simmons then highlighted past negative comments the Republican Ohio senator has made about former President Donald Trump and questioned how Singleton could trust Vance.
“Jamal, I take the point that the senator has changed his mind, but I don't know how many people will vote based on that comparison,” Singleton concluded.
