‘There Was Blood All Over Upstairs’: Man Allegedly Beats Roommate To Death Over Taco Bell Order

Dale Mitchell, a 72-year-old Michigan man, was allegedly bludgeoned to death by his roommate Wednesday during an argument over a Taco Bell order that turned fatal, FOX2 reports.

Roommates reportedly started arguing and fighting over fast food at a boarding house in Roseville, a suburb 13 miles north of Detroit. fox 2.

The fight escalated, and Mark Newsome, 54, reportedly punched his older roommate multiple times in the head, killing him. Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.

According to the newspaper, McQuaid said the fight broke out after Newsom accused Mitchell of stealing his Taco Bell. He claimed to have heard Mitchell say: Leave me alone. Please stop, please stop. ”

“Oh, it was really scary, it was really scary,” McQuaid said, according to the outlet.

“There was blood upstairs,” Melton added, according to the newspaper.

“It's completely pointless,” McQuaid said. “I trusted Mark as a friend. I couldn't believe he would do something like that.”

“If we understand life as fighting and killing someone over a taco or food itself, there must be more to life than that,” Macomb County Attorney Peter Lucido said. “It would have been much easier to just walk away from it.”

“For a fight over food to turn into murder? That's unthinkable,” McQuaid said, the newspaper reported.

Newsome was charged with second-degree murder, a felony that could result in life in prison if convicted, according to the Macomb County Prosecutor's Office.
