The media has been making Kamala Harris into a scapegoat for years, back when she was disposable and her only job was to protect Joe Biden, but now that Biden has been cast aside like yesterday's trash, Harris has become the new indispensable.

Harris may be the media's white knight today, but just a few months ago it was Biden who was untouchable. No matter how many times he stumbled, gaffes, or stumbled, no member of the media dared to say he was too old to be president. Even when Americans died needlessly in Afghanistan and our southern border nearly disappeared, no one said he was dangerously incompetent. And of course the fact-checkers pretended he didn't exist while he hurled explosive lies and inflammatory statements at every political opponent.
Harris's only goal was to deflect blame from potential scandals. Her personal political record was not important, only what served the interests of the party, which was achieved by rallying around one infallible figure. That's why many people disliked her.
Throughout most of the Biden administration, everyone agreed: Kamala wasn't very good at this. Her Likeability rating She has always been in deep water and the media has never felt pressured to like her. They have been Revolving door With the number of staff she allegedly mistreated and failure after failure, sheShe states her own argument.“This time last year, Multiple voices Some in the mainstream media even called on Biden to dump her and choose a more marketable vice president.
But now, these same people tell us that Harris is pure as a snowstorm. She is perfect, full of joy, a bringer of light and hope. Today, she is untouchable.
What has changed?
She is now the party's last hope for consolidating power. She has bided her time and endured the blows, but it has all paid off. Now the crafty devils within the party know that if they want to stay in power, they must subordinate their interests to hers.
Take a look at this fun fact check unearthed by the Daily Caller's investigative team.
Kamala Harris, who oversaw the police department “violating people's rights” and “withholding exculpatory evidence from the defense,” said, “She didn't do that. Never did. So what happened? A federal judge came in and said enough is enough, enough is enough, and released 1,000 people.”
Amazingly, PoltiFact rated this claim as Mostly True. And it is. But that was a long time ago. It was Joe Biden himself who made this claim back in 2019. And they definitely weren't going to call him a liar back then.
Now, if any Republican had said this, PolitiFact could have easily defended Harris and her party as usual, but because Biden said it, Harris was forced to take responsibility for herself.
But today, all that has changed. Harris perfection When it comes to criminal justice, Harris is the most qualified candidate: “As a prosecutor, she combined criminal justice reform with a tough stance on crime,” one lawyer argues. Reuters news She will look out for the “vulnerable” and uphold “law and order” while “reforming the system.” NPRWhen it comes to crime, she writes, she is in step with “the mood of the nation.” The New York Times.
She's a cop, but she's also a social worker. She's compassionate, but she's tough. She's a staunch conservative, but she's also a well-meaning liberal. We'll never hear that inconvenient PolitiFact argument again. Not only is the media hell-bent on protecting The Precious, they're completely flipping the tables.
