No matter what you think of Skip “Drip” Bayless, he’s here.

Back in May, the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers were not only eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Denver Nuggets, they were also swept out of the Western Conference Finals.

But to keep his embarrassment out of the spotlight, the self-proclaimed “King” has shifted media attention to a possible retirement. And, of course, they fell for it too.

Now, it was FS1’s Skip Bayless who accused LeBron of retirement nonsense and “media manipulation”, and he ranted about his retirement. Joe Biden supporters Sunday. Bayless accused both LBJ and the press of trying to shift focus away from the blatant embarrassment of being swept (and rightfully so).

“Definitely the greatest player of all time, but also the greatest manipulator of the media and fans. He’s been an incredibly insecure, pale-skinned, irresponsible diva, always failing himself and sometimes epicly. will try to change the narrative,” Bayless said in a video posted to his Twitter account on Sunday.

“Drip” was right on target for this rant.

When LeBron James first “announced” his possible retirement, my first reaction was that he was full of shit. There’s no way he’s retiring after a 4-0 sweep. And at ESPYS, he makes the outrageous “announcement” that he’s decided to come back for the season. No, it’s natural. And we all know (not just Skip) that he does all this for narrative control and attention. (Related: Jazz Summer League stars slam rockets into crown jewels, and folks, you won’t be able to breathe after watching.)
