This Buzzer Beater To Win High School Basketball Championship Game Is Pure Magic

March Madness is clearly all the rage in high school basketball.

In Indiana, Guerin Catholic High School and Brebeuf Jesuit High School met in a sectional championship game that ended in pure magic.

The game went into double overtime, and with just 3.5 seconds left on the clock, Malcolm Howes of the Golden Eagles inbounded the ball. Not long after, he had the ball in his hands again after a wild pass from a teammate, but Howes was in the right place at the right time and made an easy buzzer-beating lay. I was able to score a close-up shot and seal the victory. 75-74 victory For Guerin Catholics. (Related: Caitlin Clark overtakes Pete Maravich to become college basketball's all-time leading scorer)

The school managed to defend its Class 3A Section 27 championship, and frankly, it couldn't have been in a more dramatic way. Because not only did they get a buzzer-beater win, they did it to pull off an upset against the No. 1-ranked Braves. And we already mentioned that it's double overtime.

But the ending…that was what took the cake, just incredible.

If you're a basketball fan, you love this season.

Not only is March Madness right around the corner, but we're also in the midst of the high school basketball playoffs. On top of that, the NBA playoffs are only a month away and some players will be replaced.

Wonderful times, ladies and gentlemen. It's a truly beautiful time.
