‘This Is Not Me’: LSU Football’s Trey Holly — Facing 2nd-Degree Murder Charge — Says He Was Falsely Accused

Trey Holley, a running back in the LSU Tigers football program, maintains his innocence following his arrest in connection with a shooting incident in Union Parish. He made the claim on social media on Saturday.

When you go to X, holly He said he was “falsely identified, accused and arrested” and is “100% innocent.”

Thursday's arrest stems from the Feb. 9 shooting of a woman and a man in Farmerville, where the woman was shot in the back and the man was shot in the back, according to the Union Parish Sheriff's Office. Holley is charged with three felonies: attempted second-degree murder, aggravated criminal damage to property and unlawful use of a weapon. His bond is set at $510,000, the store said.

According to WAFB, LSU released the following statement following the arrest:

“We are aware that a student-athlete has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident in Union Parish. This student-athlete has been suspended indefinitely from all team activities in accordance with department policy. Out of respect for the judicial process, we will not comment further.”

In other sports news, New York Jets running back. Breece Hall Hall almost got into a scuffle on the plane as fans approached him asking for his autograph, but Hall refused.

Last Sunday, when Hall returned from Las Vegas after Super Bowl week, things went south at Newark Airport.
