‘Thought That We Were Obama’: Rep Mills Says Iran Got Schooled On Trump’s Foreign Policy

Republican Florida Rep. Corey Mills said on Fox News’ Ingraham Angle on Monday that Iran learned a major lesson on President Donald Trump’s foreign policy tactics following the announcement of a ceasefire.

Days after the president revealed that the US had hit three Iranian nuclear sites, Trump announced on Monday evening that Iran and Israel had officially agreed to a ceasefire. Critics of Trump’s decision to attack Iran said they were worried that the president would either launch “World War II” or cause a “nuclear fire.” Mills told host Laura Ingraham that Trump took “decisive action.”

“Again, there’s a president who has a backbone. They’re happy to show that he’ll take decisive action by pushing him to that level. You actually have a Secretary of Defense who breathes the spirit of a warrior and understands the capabilities and capabilities of the largest military in the world,” Mills said.

Tensions peaked between Israel and Iran after Israel launched its first strike on June 12, with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement that his country tried to eliminate the “threat” of Iran’s nuclear weapons programme. Secretary of State Marco Rubio after the strike issued A statement said the US was not involved in attacks on Iran. Questions about the possibility that the US could be involved in conflict began to circulate, as Trump said the US could intervene.

Mills continued to call on how the previous Democratic-led administration handled Iran. This included former President Joe Biden, who allowed sanctions against the Iranian regime to be exempt from its sanctions, and Tehran had access to $10 billion.

“You had Iran that we were basically trying to sit there and bluff. [They] We thought it was Obama who was planning on flying with cash and a pallet of Swiss francs,” added Mills.[They] We were in the Biden administration and were planning to give him $10 billion in final assets. [Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action]a failed nuclear strategy, and allows them to continue exporting oil. ”

“This president was serious. He was before the first administration about Iran’s lack of nuclear weapons,” Mills said. “And unfortunately, Iran has learned a very difficult 12-day lesson that he could avoid just by coming to the negotiation table.

In addition to easing sanctions against Iran, members of the Biden-Harris administration openly admitted that in October 2024 foreign countries were enriched under their leadership. Iran’s oil revenues rose from $54 billion in 2022 to $53 billion in 2023, according to a report by the U.S. Energy Information Agency.

Following Trump’s announcement that the US had attacked Iran’s nuclear weapons program, Iran has launched a strike against U.S. Air Force Base Al Udeid in Qatar. Trump has revealed true socially that Iran warned him before the attack, adding that the damage to the base was minimal and there were no US casualties.
