Three Koreans missing on a trip to Grand Canyon

According to reports from CNN and other local US media, three Korean tourists, Lee (33), her mother Kim (59), and her aunt Kim (54), have been missing for 10 days. They were not contacted and local police began a search. The family visited the US for travel purposes and was scheduled to return home on March 17th. South Korean families have requested assistance from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which demanded a search by local police.

According to the Coconino County Police Department in Arizona, the car that Lee rented passed along Interstate 40 in Las Vegas from the Grand Canyon around 3pm on March 13. About a mile from where the cell phone signal was last detected, 22 cars stakes emerged, causing heavy snow. It’s not recognised,” the Coconino County Police Department said. They also added that it has not been confirmed whether the car Lee drives are involved in the accident and there is no circumstantial evidence suggesting detectives’ involvement.

“The South Korean Embassy immediately sent the consulate to the scene as soon as it noticed the situation and called on US investigators to conduct a prompt and thorough investigation,” a South Korean Foreign Ministry official said.
