The four lumberjacks who went to Colorado were second-year students. semen aginsky2nd grade Yakub Pracharnew student Jakub Voleskyand junior Takumi Katsuta.
Pracher and Volesky advanced to the doubles semifinals. En route to the semifinals, they faced doubles teams from the Big Sky Conference. In the first round, the duo defeated Big Sky Conference opponents sophomore Dragos Buculescu and freshman Moritz Lesjak from Montana State to win the bagel. In the second round, Pracher and Volesky defeated the Weber State doubles pair of junior Connor Krueger and sophomore Minh Tuan Dinh Viet 6-4. The Lumberjack pair's final victory came against the Montana State University doubles team of graduate students Harrison Janes and Dmitry Bezborodov, winning 6-4. Pracher and Volesky would fall to the Weber State pair in the semifinals, 7-5.
Lumberjack Katsuta showed great success in singles and advanced to the finals. Katsuta won all three matches leading up to the final in three sets. Katsuta lost in straight sets in the final, 7-6 (9), 6-3.
Aginski lost his first match in the Raptor bracket in straight sets. However, he bounced back and won the west side of the bracket when he picked up a win over his former teammate. Lance Urraub He's currently playing in a 6-2, 6-4 final against New Mexico State.
In the Eagle bracket, Bolesky advanced to the semifinals, but lost to BYU's TJ Wells 6-3, 6-4. Volesky had two wins before the semifinals, one of which was a straight-set win over Air Force senior Luke Wolfe, 6-4, 6-3.
Bolesky was one of seven players who received a bye, so he did not play in the first round.
Pracher fought three close matches and won two on his way to the semifinals of the Lightning bracket. He had won his first match against Phillip Deaton, 7-6 (6), 7-5. In the quarterfinals, Pracher defeated BYU junior Adam Chodur 6-3, 4-6, 7-6 (10) for his second win. In the end, Prachar lost in the semifinals to UNLV sophomore Ilya Maksymchuk 7-6 (0), 6-3.
