The Garden Schertze Monastery Sacred Art Tour is scheduled to return to Sedona from March 5th to 24th. The monks will host a series of more than 30 special events, including empowerments, lectures, workshops, ceremonies, pet blessings, and more.
The tour will begin on March 5 at 8 a.m. with a prayer for world peace at Amitabha Stupa in Sedona, followed by the Sand Mandala Opening Ceremony in Sedona at 11 a.m. The Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva Mandala, which symbolizes the Buddha of Compassion, will be created. From March 5th until the 15th, he will be dedicated to promoting a peaceful world for all. Witness the creation of a sand mandala, soak in the beauty of Tibetan art, or join a meditation session daily from 8am to 5pm.
The creation of the sand mandala will culminate in a closing ceremony at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 15, when monks will sweep away the mandala, representing the impermanence of life. Participants will also receive a small bag of mandala sand as a treasured souvenir. After the ceremony, there will be an exclusive: Lunch with the monks at Sedonya. You won't want to miss this unique opportunity. Register for many events at Sedonya.org.
But wait, there's more! During the tour, participants will enjoy a variety of other venues, including the famous Sedona Yoga Festival, Village Yoga, Sedona's Humane Society, and the acclaimed Sedona Center for Harmony and Enrichment. You will have the opportunity to participate in the event. That's not all. A special event will be held to let you be the first to attend the opening of Sedona's new pagoda. This is an experience not to be missed.
