Tim Walz Successfully Turned His State Into Abortion Resort

A recent Minnesota report found that the number of out-of-state abortions in Minnesota has increased by nearly 50% since the defeat of Roe v. Wade.

Many of these states have placed limits on the procedure in response to the 2022 Supreme Court ruling, including Texas, which bans abortion in nearly all cases. In November, residents of Nebraska and South Dakota rejected bills enshrining the right to abortion in their state constitutions, but Missouri’s constitution was approved.

Abortion bans often face legal challenges, as in the case of an Iowa law that banned the procedure after six weeks of pregnancy, but the state Supreme Court upheld the law in June 2024. did. A district judge ruled in September that the law was unconstitutional.
