Tim Walz Took His Wife On Insane First Date That Should’ve Been A Red Flag

Now, imagine you're a guy from the '90s going on a first date with your future wife. Of course, you didn't meet her on a dating app. You're dating with the goal of marriage, and you want to impress her. What do you do?

Yes, movies are a good and healthy option. You can spend time together, but you don't have to force small talk. Cuddling up and laughing and crying is romantic.

So far so good for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz. Though he looks 60 years old, Walz was still a young man when he went on his first movie date with his future wife in 1993.

Did you go see Robin Williams' beloved classic “Mrs. Doubtfire,” which came out over the holiday season and will run through the New Year?

Perhaps they have fond memories of going to see the original “Jurassic Park” and now going to see the new lame spin-off?

Perhaps Waltz could comfort her through the critically acclaimed tearjerker “Remains of the Day”?

Anything goes. Any normal guy would do that. But Waltz is not normal. If his choice of date is his criterion, he's a crazy psychopath.

No, Waltz took his wife to see “Falling Down,” the quickly forgettable Michael Douglas crime drama. The New York Times He describes it as “a broken white guy having a nervous breakdown in Los Angeles.”

Douglas plays a father whose car breaks down on the highway and who is forced to walk the dangerous streets of Los Angeles to make it to his daughter's birthday party on time, encountering a multitude of eccentric characters along the way, from Mexican gangsters and homeless beggars to violent neo-Nazis.

Ah, how romantic.

It's ironic, if you think about it. Maybe watching a movie with the love of his life that day inspired something in him. If you thought Los Angeles in the '90s was dangerous, imagine Los Angeles under Harris Waltz.
