…There are occasional fights at the pinyon pine feeder in our backyard, and some birds feel that the feeder and its contents are all their property…I chase the intruder from the feeder and engage in dogfights. unfold as they claim their food. The photo above shows a single house finch making an all-out attack on a retreating finch…more like a dogfight with an airplane from another era…yet the peaceful nature of yet another species is in full force. It is reflected in!

The photo below is a reflection in the water of Birch Lake in northern Wisconsin, taken in 2019, when I was last there. The water was glassy, ​​but the wake of my boat segmented the reflections in a regular pattern…you can see the water lilies in the top left corner 🙂

Patrick has information about my upcoming show. Sedona Film Festival website. It's going to be a great show alice gill sheldon theater October 27th, 3:30pm. Seating is limited to 44 installed seats, but six more people were able to sit comfortably earlier this year. There is only one showing, so we recommend purchasing your tickets early. Pat has suggested the frequency of my farewell shows (there are apparently 7 more), one in the fall and another in the spring, which seems like a good plan to me. .
