…Things do happen, and the image above is what I can imagine happening on the Colorado Plateau…maybe hundreds of thousands of years ago, or perhaps years from now. The beauty and sense of isolation experienced when flying over the plateaus is difficult to explain, but it brings an understanding of the earth's continuous changes…that we have no control over and that are simply a vehicle. I'm just riding along… trying to understand and understand what I can't understand. But it's fun to try!

The images are of course a composite of aerial photos overlooking the plateau from due east. Roden Crater Looking west, the Hubble image worked. …. The river on the right is the Little Colorado River, which flows approximately 110 miles further northwest to its confluence with the Colorado River.

The squirrel below is hopping on the tee box behind our house. He lives without worrying about the origin, development, and ultimate nature of the small planet we call home.
