‘Too Pretty To Rob’: Robber Holds Indianapolis Woman At Gunpoint, Then Asks Her Out On Social Media

An Indianapolis woman was reportedly asked out on a date by a robber who told her she was “too beautiful to be robbed.”

Amber Bellaun was walking to her mailbox around 4 a.m. after working the late shift in May when a man approached her and held her at gunpoint, WRTV News report. “He took it out of his pocket to show me what was going on,” said Beraun.

The suspect, identified as Damien Boyce, allegedly pointed a gun at Belawn’s head, demanded $100, then asked if he had a girlfriend and if he would add her as a Facebook friend, KETV News report. At that point, Boyce reportedly opened her phone, watched Belawn add him as a friend, promised to return her stolen money, and then rode off on his bicycle. .

“I thought if I added him to Facebook, he would leave, but he did,” Beraun told WRTV News.

Later that day, Beuys allegedly sent Belawn several text messages telling the victim: [fucked?] I’m on my way to meet someone [damn] you [sic] Being cute, stealing. ” (Related: Florida robbery suspect reportedly called 911 himself and asked for airport pickup)

Mr Beraun said he believed in him and understood that “times are just tough”.

“I think it’s something you think about all the time, especially for young women, but you never think it’s going to happen to you,” Beraun told WRTV.

Mr. Berawn was not injured in the incident, but the robbery left him shaken. She told the media outlet that her voice had robbed her of the sense of safety she had in her home. “I get a little nervous when I know people are going up and down the streets looking for places to commit crimes,” she told the media. “When you hear noise at night, it feels a little different.”
