Top Staffer For Democratic Senator Goes Rogue, Perfectly Encapsulates Why Younger Generation Doesn’t Get It

Democrats have always been willing to trample on long-held American norms, but it's usually a strategic move to shore up the party's strength and unity.

A spokesman for Pennsylvania Sen. John Fetterman is tired of the old ways, and he made that clear by blasting his boss.

Conversation with a journalist Free PressCarrie Adams, a member of Fetterman's staff, said, “I don't agree with him” on Israel and Gaza.

“I feel like his view of the world is a lot less nuanced than my generation's, because he grew up in an era where might made right. And of course my generation and younger generations who are protesting this have a much more nuanced view of the region,” Adams continued.

Translated from the language of passive-aggressive millennial girls, this is the equivalent of calling her boss stupid and evil.

It's one thing for a purple-haired activist to make such a rant about a public figure; it's quite another for a staff member to say it about her own boss, whose job is literally to make her boss look good. As a Free Press reporter pointed out, “This was the first time I'd come across anyone criticizing the 'principal.'”

Adams' miscalculation reveals all the mistakes of her generation.

Most obviously, she's wrong on a professional level: there's no way she could have betrayed her boss in this way and saved her career, much less her current job. Only an entitled narcissist would think she had the right to speak so blatantly out of turn.

She is also wrong in practical terms. If her secret purpose in working with the Democrats is to drag the party further to the left, then she has made a strategic error by revealing her hand. The best bet, as the far left has long understood, is to play the long game: to quietly infiltrate organizations and push them left without creating the kind of controversy that will irritate the establishment. But the younger generation is less patient than its activist forebears, and they have no choice but to be patient.

And of course she is morally wrong. The younger generation is so steeped in moral relativism and Western self-hatred that they can no longer even distinguish between right and wrong. The war between Israel and Hamas is not a matter of “might makes right.” It is a battle between the triumph of civilization and the forces of barbarism and decadence that are destroying everything the Western world has built.

The young liberals chose the wrong side.
