A German tourist was bitten on the leg by a shark on Monday and died of a heart attack while being transported to a Spanish rescue helicopter, a coast guard spokesman said.
The 30-year-old woman was attacked by a shark while sailing off the coast of the Canary Islands, CBS News reported. ReportedShe was swimming alongside the boat when the shark attacked.
Emergency services were alerted to the situation and contacted the Moroccan coast guard, which then dispatched a military plane and a helicopter. Authorities in Texas believe a shark attacked four beachgoers on the Fourth of July, leaving two people bitten, one with a scratch and a fourth who required stitches after the attack.
