Discovery of Human Bones in Yavapai County

In Yavapai County, Arizona, authorities recently uncovered human bones along with remnants of wooden boxes in a desert area near a small community called Kritore.

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office initially treated the site as a potential crime scene, calling in investigators and a doctor from the Criminal Investigation Bureau as well as search and rescue dogs.

However, the sheriff’s office has since indicated that whatever happened here appears to have taken place a long time ago. “The evidence doesn’t suggest a recent tragedy,” they stated, adding that the findings likely date back 55 to 85 years.

As investigators sifted through the debris, they gathered pieces of wood, showing signs of age and wear. Experts from the Charlotte Hall Museum in Prescott have been informed, and this discovery may tie in with local legends that have persisted through generations.

While the identity of the individual remains unknown for now, there’s hope that historical and forensic teams may be able to piece together the story behind these bones. “Perhaps we can uncover the truth, name the bones, and solve the mysteries hidden in the desert,” an official mentioned.
