Trader Joe's on Saturday announced a recall of its customer-favorite steamed chicken dumplings because they may contain plastic.

“We are recalling Trader Joe's Steamed Chicken Xiao Long Bao (SKU#54988) with a best before date of 03.07.25 and a lot code of C1-1 or C1-2 due to the possibility of foreign material (plastic) being mixed in. ” reads the statement.
Trader Joe's has instructed customers who purchased the affected chicken xiao long bao to throw away the popular item if their purchase matches the description included in the recall notice, according to a statement. “No illnesses or injuries have been reported to date,” the statement said. “If you purchased Steamed Chicken Xiao Long Bao with a best before date of 03.07.25 and a lot code of C1-1 or C1-2, please discard the product or return it to Trader Joe's for a full refund. please.”
This isn't the first time Trader Joe's has announced a recall for its products.
